Wednesday: 1.36 mile jog, 2 mile bike
Thursday: off

Saturday: off

Total mileage: 13.81 (Goal 12.5)
Weight Loss/Gain: -3 lbs!
Fat Loss/Gain: -1.5!!
I also worked in weight training on some of the days when my muscles felt nice and warm!

Let me tell you what, Chubby is outta shape! There are 165 days to get my tush in gear!
I am so excited by this weeks results. I have be tracking my food using the Mynetdiary App. It is fantastic! Tracks nutrients, measurements, and even tells you what you are doing right and wrong when it comes to nutrients. Check it out if you want to start tracking food/exercises.
I am also using the Trish Blackwell Couch to Half training program. I believe it is a $1.99 app, but she has motivational videos, quotes, and workout videos to get you through each week. Basically with the couch to half app, you are increasing your mileage each week over 12 weeks . You are also incorporating weight and cross training. Next week I am planning to work in some yoga!

This week I also went to a running store and had my feet looked at to find the best shoes. If you are in the greater Orlando area, I recommend going to the Track Shack off of Mills (I will put their link in the bottom). They were so helpful and took the time to make sure I was completely comfortable and happy with my shoes. I found out that I have pretty strong feet and could do the barefoot run if I wanted to. I told him I was from Louisiana and we don't believe in shoes anyway. I got a strange look after that one.  Anyway, I left with a pair of Saucony Progrid Ride 5 shoes. SO comfy and didnt require breaking in. Wore them through Disney and it felt like I was walking on fluffy little princess worthy clouds.

One thing that bothered me was my calves tightening up. I figure it is part of the process and/or my old shoes. I will be monitoring this over the next few weeks. However, I am being mindful of my body and only pushing through it when I feel I can.  I figure I am ahead of the curve and it will take time for my body to change.

Till next week!

So it begins..

So, today I had my first Coach Approach appointment at the YMCA. Basically, it is an accountability program that keeps tabs on goals that you want to accomplish. For example, if your main goal is to start a gym habit, they will work with you in finding why you aren't going to the gym and create a habit. They monitor stress, eating, and work out logs with their Fitlinxx equipment. My coach is absolutely amazing. He took my body fat percentage (its a wonder that I am not a giant bowl of pudding with my reading :-/), is encouraging me to do a food log, and pushing me towards my goals. I must say I feel super motivated and great after the workout. I highly recommend this if you have a Y membership.

So, I figured that if I am going to do this, I might as well go big. One of my bucket list items was to complete a half-marathon. Figuring that we may or may not be in the state of Florida by next year, I am going to mouse it out and do the Disney Princess Half.  I'll leave the link for you fabulous people to check it out!

I will be writing (hopefully... I have a problem with consistency...) at least once a week to update progress and any exciting happenings!

HERE WE GO!
